Tachikawa Festival Fireworks 2026: July 25 Launch, 5,000 Shells, Tickets on Sale July 1
The 2026 date for the Tachikawa Festival Showa Kinen Park Fireworks Display has been confirmed: Saturday, July 25, 19:15–20:15.
The venue is Showa Kinen Park, as in previous years.
With a total of 5,000 shells fired over one hour, the skies above Tachikawa will light up brilliantly.
The event will be cancelled in severe weather with no postponement option.
Light rain is generally acceptable, so be sure to check the weather on the day.
Minna-no-Harappa Goes Paid: Key Changes for 2026
The biggest change for 2026 is how the main viewing area will be managed.
"Minna-no-Harappa" (Everyone's Meadow) and its surroundings, previously free to enter, will now be a paid viewing area this year.
If you want to watch the fireworks up close, you'll need to purchase a ticket in advance and collect a wristband on the day.
Free viewing areas remain, but the layout is significantly different from previous years.
Be sure to check the official site's area map beforehand.
There are three ticket types available:
- Single-seat ticket (includes paid viewing area entry)
- Pair ticket with leisure sheet (includes paid viewing area entry)
- Group seat ticket (includes paid viewing area entry)
※ Children under 3 may sit on a lap and do not require a ticket.
Tickets on Sale July 1 via Rakuten Ticket
Tickets will go on sale from July 1 on Rakuten Ticket.
Sales are first-come, first-served, so it's best to act quickly once they become available.

Access and Park Entry
Showa Kinen Park is approximately 15 minutes on foot from Tachikawa Station (JR Ome Line / Nambu Line), or about 5 minutes from Nishi-Tachikawa Station (JR Ome Line).
Park admission on the day is free (a ticket is required to enter the paid viewing area).
The area gets very crowded after the fireworks end.
Exiting via Nishi-Tachikawa Station tends to be relatively smooth.
