Chofu City Launches PayPay Gift Vouchers: Get ¥6,500 Worth for Just ¥5,000
The Chofu City Chamber of Commerce has launched a premium digital gift voucher program in partnership with PayPay, starting May 28, 2026.
For every ¥5,000 you spend, you receive ¥6,500 worth of PayPay gift vouchers.
How the 30% Premium Works: ¥6,500 for ¥5,000
The premium rate is 30%, and each person can purchase up to 10 units per transaction (no additional purchases allowed).
If you buy the maximum of 10 units, you pay ¥50,000 and receive ¥65,000 worth of vouchers.
The total issuance amount (face value) is ¥1.3 billion, with 200,000 units available for sale.
Two Types of Vouchers: General and Restricted
The ¥6,500 you receive is split into two types of vouchers.
- General Vouchers (¥3,500): Can be used at any PayPay gift voucher-accepting store in Chofu City, including large retailers.
- Restricted Vouchers (¥3,000): Can only be used at participating stores that are not large retailers.
The key point is that the restricted vouchers are designed specifically for local small and medium-sized shops.
This makes them easy to use at independently run stores and restaurants around Chofu Station and Fuda Station.
Only Chofu Residents Can Buy: Eligibility and How to Apply
Eligibility is limited to "PayPay users aged 18 and over who reside in Chofu City."
Identity verification through the PayPay app is required, so make sure you have the necessary documents ready — such as your My Number Card, driver's license, or driving history certificate.
How to Purchase
- Open the PayPay app and access the campaign page
- Select the number of units and pay (using PayPay balance or PayPay Credit, including PayPay points)
- After purchase, check your balance from "Wallet" → "PayPay Gift Vouchers" in the app
Valid Through the End of September — Perfect for Summer Shopping
The vouchers can be used until September 30, 2026 (Wednesday).
Since you simply pay with PayPay at everyday places like supermarkets, restaurants, and hair salons in Chofu City, no special procedures are required.
Use them for summer groceries, dining out, or everyday expenses, and the savings add up naturally.
