Chicken, Water, and Seafood Broth. Trying the Shoyu Ramen at Kodaira's Shinkai
We visited Shinkai, a ramen shop in Hanakoganei that proudly displays the slogan "Chicken × Water × Seafood Broth."
The interior is clean, bright, and has a diner-like vibe. It doesn't feel like a serious ramen specialty shop — it's more like a casual neighborhood eatery. The kind of place you can pop into alone without any fuss.

Beautiful Clear-Broth Shoyu Ramen
I ordered the shoyu ramen (around 1,000 yen). The moment it arrived, I was struck by the clarity of the amber broth. Beautiful.

Despite its simple appearance, the chicken and seafood broth had a deep, satisfying richness — one sip and I thought, "Oh, this is good." The portion was just right, and before I knew it, the bowl was empty.
Plenty of Set Meals, and Tantanmen on Weekends
I was surprised to find how extensive the set meal menu was for a ramen shop. Rice bowls and teishoku sets lined the menu — this place doubles as a full-on diner. On top of that, tantanmen (sesame noodles) are available on weekends only.

I visited on a Friday so I couldn't try it, but consider this a revenge mission.
